Foss Studios has been awarded the third best student property in York in the Student Crowd Voice Awards 2025 . This recognition means a lot to us because it’s based entirely on genuine, authentic reviews from the students who have actually lived here. Foss Studios is mid-way between the city centre and the University of York , so you’ll be in a great spot to enjoy York’s great shops, restaurants, bars and attractions, while also being just a short walk (or bus ride) from both universities. It’s about a 16-minute walk to the University of York, and a few more to York St John University …and if you don’t feel like walking, there’s a bus stop right outside. I have been living in Foss studios for more than three years. All staff members here are very welcoming and kind . And I love my comfortable and spacious room . Repairs are done very fast.
